WWE RAW superstar Montel Vontavious Porter stepped out of the ring to give back to his community at American Airlines Arena.
MVP played host to 10 young men at the SmackDown/ECW event as a reward for demonstrating good behaviour at the Dade Marine institute, where they were assigned as youthful offenders.
The institute is part of a non-profit organisation established in 1969 to provide rehabilitative services for youthful offenders and make a lasting, positive change in their lives.
MVP gave the young men a backstage tour and then spent time speaking to them about ways to improve their lives so they can become productive citizens, sharing some of his own personal experiences.
The event was co-ordinated with the Miami Dade police department.
Speaking on the event, MVP said: "It was great to spend some time with these young men to set a positive example.
"As WWE superstars we have the unique ability to encourage young people who may be following the wrong path to change their lives for the better.
"Having had the opportunity to change the direction of my own life, it meant a lot to be able to show these young men what they can achieve if they decide to make that change."
Gary Davis, vice-president of Global Public Affairs commented: "MVP is like many of our WWE superstars and divas who are committed to using their celebrity to improve the lives of others."
