Peterborough Panthers have brought Dane Henning Bager back into their side.
Bager has just finished a stint with Premier League club Birmingham Brummies and Peterborough have moved quickly to bring him in for his third spell at the East of England Showground.
The 27-year-old will replace injured Czech Sam Simota in the side and will allow Morten Risager to drop down reserve.
"Racing in the Elite League has always been my aim and I am delighted to take this opportunity to ride at the top level again for a club I love," said Bager.
"Peterborough has always been my team and I always look out for their results even when I am riding for another side.
"It is great to be back and I hope I can help the team out by scoring well at home and away."
Team boss Trevor Swales is pleased to see Bager back.
"We have said all along that we have more than one problem and there would be no quick fix, but I feel the signing of Henning will help us a lot on two fronts," said Swales.
"Henning will slot straight into the team at number two where he can certainly do a solid job for us at home and away. He is the sort of guy who can ride any line on any track and he absolutely loves this club.
"Morten has had a tough time this season but he has shown the odd sign of getting his form back.
"No-one wants to be successful more than Morten and going down to reserve could be just what he needs. He had a tremendous spell when riding at reserve for Coventry early last season and I feel he can become a bit of a star for us in the same position."
