Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth was unsure whether to laugh or cry after a stoppage-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon.

The Dons - managed by ex-Shots boss Terry Brown - took the lead in the first half of Saturday's League Two clash at The Rec through Max Porter's goal, which looked enough for all three points heading in to injury time.

But after Ricky Wellard saw red for a second bookable offence two minutes into added time, Danny Hylton popped up to earn the hosts a share of the spoils with a heavily deflected shot four minutes into injury time.

"Delighted with the result in the end, but disappointed really with dominating a football match and the amount of attempts on goal we've had to not really get three points," said Holdsworth.

"It feels like a win in the end and the jubilation with our fans was magnificent and I was pleased with that but we've got to take it on the chin. We will really hurt someone soon.

"I'm pleased we got something from the game and I think we earned our luck in the end with a bit of a deflection but we're camped in their half second half and I'm glad they've got some reward, they've done themselves proud."
