Inter Milan extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points as Juventus were undone by Cagliari.

Inter Milan started the day with a five-point advantage over Juventus and left it late to overcome Fiorentina 1-0 at home.

The game looked set to finish goalless until Diego Milito fired home a penalty with five minutes remaining to seal a hard-fought victory.

Cagliari did Inter an extra favour by shocking Juventus 2-0 to move up to seventh.
