Early pace-setters Swindon travel to Cheltenham on Saturday, while Bristol Rovers play host to Torquay.
Charismatic Italian Paolo Di Canio got off to a successful start as Swindon boss with a 3-0 beating of Crewe last week and next up is a trip to fellow Robins Cheltenham, with the game back on after its postponement earlier in the week.
Fresh from their midweek Carling Cup win at Ipswich, giant-killers Northampton next travel to Aldershot aiming for their first league victory of the campaign.
But it will be tough against a Shots side who will be buoyed by their opening 2-1 win at Bradford.
In-form Barnet beat Morecambe and then knocked out Portsmouth in the Carling Cup in midweek.
Lawrie Sanchez's side next host a Port Vale team who have yet to win this term, having drawn with Crawley in the league and lost to Huddersfield in the cup.
Bristol Rovers will be looking to build on their opening victory at AFC Wimbledon when hosting Torquay, who are yet to taste success this term.
AFC Wimbledon will be looking for their first-ever league win when travelling to Dagenham, as are fellow newcomers Crawley Town who host Macclesfield.
Crewe will be hoping for home comforts against Gillingham having lost on their travels to Swindon in the league and then Preston in the cup, while Bradford take on former player Chris Wilder's Oxford aiming to build on their narrow cup defeat at Leeds.
Rotherham beat Oxford in the league but then suffered a mauling by Leicester in the cup.
The Millers will be aiming to bounce back against a Plymouth side who are still searching for their first win of the campaign.
Hereford and Morecambe go head to head at Edgar Street looking for their first points of the campaign, while Burton entertain Shrewsbury and Accrington will be hoping for their first goal of the season when hosting a Southend side aiming to bounce back from their midweek penalty shoot-out heartache to Leyton Orient in the cup.
