Spain and Brazil both recorded victories during their friendly ecnounters versus Venezuela and Romania respectively.
World and European champions Spain saw off Venezuela 3-0 courtesy of first-half goals from David Villa, Pedro and Xabi Alonso.
Brazil, meanwhile, defeated Romania 1-0 in Sao Paolo as legendary striker Ronaldo played his final match for his country.
Ronaldo was unable to mark the occassion with a goal, with Fred the man on target in the 21st minute.
Australia extended their unbeaten run on home soil to 10 matches with a goalless draw against Serbia in Melbourne.
