South Korea international Du-Ri Cha is about to sign for Scottish giants Celtic.
Du-Ri has caught the eye during the World Cup finals as his team progressed to the round of 16 before losing to Uruguay.
The right-back did not have his contract renewed at German outfit SC Freiburg in the close season and is believed to be joining the Park Head team on a Bosman move.
The deal is expected to be signed within the next few days once the defender completes a medical.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star earned a move to Europe following an impressive 2002 World Cup campaign in his homeland and follows in the footsteps of his father.
Cha Bum-Kun is often referred to as the greatest Asian footballer of all time and made a name for himself in the Bundesliga at Du-Ri's former club Eintracht Frankfurt.
But now his son has a chance to make a name for himself in the SPL as he prepares to link-up with Bhoys boss Neil Lennon for the new campaign.
"I am on my way to Glasgow to have a medical, then I will be completing a move to Celtic Glasgow," said Du-Ri, 29.
"Afterwards I am flying over to South Korea to undergo a spell of two weeks of vacation before I am then joining Celtic Glasgow for training.
"I am extremely pleased to make that move. I am looking forward to the experience of representing such a great club."
