Nicklas Bendtner has vowed to show Sunderland supporters his best form after again venting his frustration over a lack of opportunities at Arsenal.

The Danish striker joined the Black Cats on a season-long loan deal on deadline day and has been backed to perform well by manager Steve Bruce.

Bendtner has no intention of returning to the Emirates Stadium at the end of his time on Wearside as he had become disillusioned last season.

Having fallen down the pecking order under Arsene Wenger, Bendtner is now looking forward to playing regularly for Sunderland.

He is also relishing the prospect of trying to help Denmark qualify for Euro 2012 after scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory over Norway on Tuesday that put them firmly in contention for top spot in Group H.

Hit hard

"When I hopefully get to play regularly in the Premier League for Sunderland, I want to prove what you all have missed," Bendtner told

"Obviously, I feel I have more to offer and I will get to show that now.

"Everything at Arsenal has hit me hard personally and made me very frustrated.

"I have not played many matches and had been at a place where I had no desire to be for one year.

"My focus now is on Sunderland and the two important qualifiers in October."
