Paraguay captain Justo Villar has accused South Africa of not being prepared to host the World Cup.
Despite pre-tournament fears, the Rainbow Nation has generally received praise as the first African country to host the showpiece event.
But 33-year-old Villar, a veteran of two previous World Cup finals, disagrees and has voiced his dissent following his country's exit to Spain at the quarter-final stage.
The Valladolid goalkeeper told Telefuturo: "I think South Africa weren't prepared to host the World Cup.
"Like in the first game, against Italy, when we had to go to the hotel, the bus broke down - a new bus - and we had to wait 45 minutes and we had to go in taxis.
"Fifa only cares about the stadiums and what you see on TV."
Despite this upset, Villar enjoyed an impressive World Cup, only conceding two goals in the tournament, as well as saving a penalty in the defeat to Spain.
Norwich were fighting for their lives at the foot of the table. Jordan Henderson, the lungs of this Liverpool team, was unavailable for the first time in this Premier League season. Even 20-goal striker Daniel Sturridge was injured, breaking up the lethal partnership with Luis Suarez.
Beware Black Cats crossing your path. That would have been sage advice to the trio of Premier League title contenders in the last week of March as Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea all prepared to face Sunderland at home in the run-in.
