Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa is to stay on in the role after agreeing a new five-year deal.
The Argentine had been in some demand following an impressive World Cup campaign, where the Chileans reached the second round of the tournament before being eliminated by Brazil.
Despite a relatively early exit, Bielsa found himself in demand thanks to the South American side's free-flowing attacking football, with many of their players also winning several admirers.
Despite the interest, Chile have managed to secure the 55-year-old's long-term future, with his contract to expire at the end of the 2015 Copa America.
Bielsa's role will expand and, as well as overseeing the selection of the national team, he will have an input into the Under-20 side and in the federation as a whole.
"We have reached a complete agreement which was ratified unanimously by the board," said Chile Football Federation president Harold Mayne-Nicholls.
"We can say with certainty that we will have Marcelo for several more years, heading the team selection, and also engaging in the Under-20s, carrying on work in the national football federation, maintaining constant communication with the community through lectures and other activities."
The midweek friendlies dominate the World Cup build-up as several of the main contenders struggled.
