Aguirre: Disappointed
Mexico coach Javier Aguirre blamed two mistakes for his side's World Cup elimination to Argentina.
Carlos Tevez's controversial opener was blatantly offside as he nodded home Lionel Messi's chip, but the goal was allowed to stand despite wild Mexico protests.
Gonzalo Higuain added a second following a terrible defensive blunder by Ricardo Osorio before Tevez added a third with a stunning effort in the second half.
Javier Hernandez pulled a goal back late on, but it was not enough for Mexico as for the fifth straight finals they crashed out at the second round stage.
"In the first few minutes we were superior. But then we conceded a goal which was offside and then there was an error in the defence," said Aguirre.
"Two mistakes made a dramatic difference," said Aguirre.
"We got disorientated by the first goal, we lacked the mental strength and concentration to overcome the error that wasn't our own, and then we committed the second one."
"We have a great generation of young players who must be put to the best possible use, I believe in four years they will be at the top," added Aguirre.
