Skysports.com understands Bournemouth have made an undisclosed offer for AFC Wimbledon midfielder Steven Gregory.

The 23-year-old has impressed during the past two seasons at AFC Wimbledon and was a key figure in helping the club win promotion to the Football League for the first time.

He could now be offered the opportunity to step up to League One after the Cherries made an opening bid for the former Wycombe Wanderers youngster.

Gregory made six substitute appearances during his time at Wycombe before joining Hayes & Yeading in 2008 and then moving on to the Dons 12 months later.

Cherries boss Lee Bradbury is keen to improve his squad over the summer as he looks to replicate last season's success when the club reached the play-offs.
