Dominika Cibulkova defeated Karolina Pliskova 6-7 (3-7) 6-3 6-3 to reach the final of the BMW Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur.
The top-seeded Slovak fought back from a set down to come out on top after a contest which lasted almost 2 hours 30 minutes.
Pliskova managed to save a total of 15 break points during the match but did drop her serve on five occasions, allowing Cibulkova to take the upper-hand.
It is the third WTA final Cibulkova has reached this year. She has already finished as runner-up at the Australian Open as well as winning the Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco.
Cibulkova will face Donna Vekic in the final after the 17-year-old staged a fine comeback to emerge as a 1-6 6-3 6-4 winner against Shuai Zhang.
Seventh seed Vekic, who completed the win in just under 90 minutes, will be aiming to win her maiden WTA title on Sunday.
"It was funny the way it went especially in the opening three games. Zhang Shuai played a flawless game," the seventh seed said.
"I told myself before the second set that I had to up my game or else I would have smashed several racquets on the court."
