ATP Barcelona Open: Albert Ramos sets up all-Spanish clash with Rafael Nadal

World No 1 and defending champion Rafael Nadal will face fellow Spaniard Albert Ramos in the second round of the Barcelona Open following the latter's victory over Nikolay Davydenko on Tuesday.
Ramos set up the meeting with Nadal - winner of this tournament in eight of the last nine years - by seeing off Russia's Davydenko in straight sets, 6-4 6-4.
Fourth seed Kei Nishikori booked his place in round three, the Japanese player defeating another Spaniard in Roberto Bautista Agut 6-1 4-6 6-3.
Nishikori will take on Kazakhstan's Andrey Golubev, who got past Benoit Paire 6-4 5-1 after the Frenchman retired.
Fifth seed Tommy Robredo also made it through to the third round courtesy of a 6-3 6-4 triumph over Marinko Matosevic, while Ernests Gulbis booked his spot by beating Daniel Gimeno-Traver 7-5 7-6.
Philipp Kohlschreiber, seeded 10th, is there as well having got past Edouard Roger-Vasselin 7-6 6-2.
World No 824 Inigo Cervantes also progressed with a shock 5-7 6-0 6-3 victory over 15th seed Dmitry Tursunov that sets up a potential meeting with home favourite David Ferrer.
The other man to have progressed to the third round is qualifier Dominic Thiem, who followed up his victory over Radek Stepnek by winning 3-6 6-3 6-2 against Marcel Granollers, to set up a date with third seed Fabio Fognini.
