British teenager Gabriella Taylor moved into the second round of Wimbledon qualifying with a 6-1 6-3 win over former world No 29 Sofia Arvidsson.
The 16-year-old from Southampton, who trains in Marbella, Spain, made quick work of her Swedish opponent and completed the win in under an hour.
"I am feeling shaky now because I'm so happy, but when I stepped on court I had no nerves whatsoever. I quite like the grass,” she told Wimbledon’s official website.
"I think I've gained all my confidence now and I'm just going to go out tomorrow and play my tennis."
Emily Webley-Smith also progressed after opponent Beatriz Garcia Vidagany retired in the third set.
Elsewhere, Freya Christie lost to 17th-seeded Russian Alla Kudryavtseva 6-4 6-2 and Lisa Whybourn was beaten by sixth seed Danka Kovinic.
Jade Windley and Katie Boulter are also both out, along with Katy Dunne, who lost to former Wimbledon quarter-finalist Austrian Tamira Paszek 6-4 6-0.
On the men’s side of the qualifying draw British interest was ended when Oliver Golding suffered a 3-6 6-4 6-4 defeat to Marco Chiudinelli of Switzerland and Brydan Klein was beaten 3-6 6-2 6-3 by ninth seed Denis Kudla.
