Top seed Radwanska relied on precision placement to come through her semi-final against Jamie Hampton in two tie-breaks, 7-6 (7/4) 7-6 (7/3), while third seed Wickmayer used her power to edge out Mona Barthel 6-4 1-6 7-6 (7/3).
Radwanska survived a scare when Hampton broke for a 6-5 lead but the American then faltered when serving for the opening set in blustery conditions, double faulting on set point.
The Pole then raced 4-0 ahead in the second set before Hampton, the world number 70, stormed back to level at 4-4 - before Radwanska once again got the better of the tie-break.
Wickmayer, the winner in Auckland in 2010 and now a finalist in three of the last four years, outlasted Germany's Barthel in one hour and 48 minutes.
After taking the opening set, the Belgian's serve developed problems in the second set, which Barthel raced through in 20 minutes to level.
The decider went to a tie-break and Barthel, the eighth seed, double-faulted twice at crucial moments to help Wickmayer close out victory.
