WTA Yinzhou: Johanna Konta sees off Lauren Davis after epic encounter
Johanna Konta caused an upset at the Yinzhou Bank International Open in Ningbo as she ousted eighth seed Lauren Davis.

In an epic encounter, which lasted three hours and five minutes, Konta eventually overcame the world No 82 from America 6-4 4-6 6-3.
Konta, the British No 3, fired down nine aces on her way to victory, while she was able to save eight of the 11 break-point chances fashioned by Davis.
Konta, who reached the quarter-finals in Guangzhou, had 15 chances to break herself - with the 22-year-old crucially converting four of them.
Konta will now take on Katarzyna Piter, who beat fellow qualifier Yafan Wang 6-4 6-4.
Fifth seed Lesia Tsurenko also fell at the first hurdle as she lost 6-7 (7-4) 6-2 6-2 to Alexandra Dulgheru, however Yvonne Meusburger, Lourdes Dominguez Lino and Yaroslava Shvedova all advanced unscathed.
Meusburger, seed fourth, routed Richel Hogenkamp 6-0 6-1, No 3 seed Dominguez Lino brushed aside Yung-Jan Chan 6-2 6-2 and seventh-ranked Shvedova edged out Timea Babos 6-1 2-6 6-2.
