Victory helped Italy's number 10 seed remain on course to become the first Italian woman since Raffaella Reggi 29 years ago to win the tournament when it was held in Taranto.
Bologna-born Errani, who has now made the last four for the second consecutive year, will meet Jelena Jankovic of Serbia next after the sixth seed fought hard to oust third-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, 6-4 6-4.
Errani and Jankovic were joined in the last four by Ana Ivanovic, although the Serbian 11th seed had to dig deep throughout a thrilling encounter with Carla Suarez Navarro before finally beating the Spaniard, 6-4 3-6 6-4.
Ivanovic will now meet defending champion and top seed Serena Williams after she cruised past unseeded Zhang Shuai from China for the loss of just four games, 6-1 6-3.
