The 22-year-old Austrian is enjoying a break out year on the ATP Tour and has surged up to No 7 in the rankings after winning four titles.

Thiem defeated clay specialist Rafael Nadal on his favourite surface to claim silverware in Buenos Aires, while he holds two wins over Roger Federer on grass, including the recent final of the ATP Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart.

A stylish player with classy ground strokes, Thiem has proven himself as a threat to any of the world's top players.

Nick Kyrgios

The temperamental Australian has been overtaken by Thiem as the hottest talent on the tour, but still managed a landmark win amid his regular squabbles with match officials.

Back in February, Kyrgios defeated Marin Cilic to win his maiden ATP Tour title in Marseille, and he also reached semi-finals in Dubai and Miami.

The 21-year-old caused a stir in south west London on previous visits, defeating Nadal in 2014, while he self-combusted during a defeat to Richard Gasquet last year.

Already hailed as a future world No 1, Zverev recently boosted his growing reputation with a semi-final win over Federer at the Gerry Weber Open.

Zverev would suffer defeat in the final as the experienced Florian Mayer gave a sobering lesson to the swaggering youngster in Halle.

The 19-year-old German, who catches the eye with his gold jewellery and colourful dress sense, also gave Nadal a scare at Indian Wells this year as he let match point slip away in a three-set defeat.

Borna Coric

A former junior world No 1, Coric gave an early indication of his talent when he defeated Nadal at the age of just 17.

He became the youngest player to break into the ATP top 100 in 2014 and represented Croatia in the Davis Cup as a teenager.

Coric became a familiar face to British tennis fans after a quarter-final win over Andy Murray in Dubai and he reached his first ATP final in Chennai this year, losing in straight sets to Stan Wawrinka.

Taylor Fritz

The 18-year-old American has already risen to No 63 in the world and was the youngest male player to directly enter this year's Wimbledon draw.

Fritz has been billed as the next big star from the USA and highlighted his potential by reaching the final of the Memphis Open, but was denied his maiden ATP silverware following a defeat to world No 6 Kei Nishikori.

The Californian is comfortable on grass and took a set from Roger Federer in a creditable defeat earlier this month in Stuttgart.
