Reigning champion Andy Murray has been given the first slot on Court One for his second round clash with Blaz Rola at Wimbledon on Wednesday.

Murray opened his defence of the title in the opening match on Centre Court but will play his second contest of the 2014 event on the All England Club’s secondary stage.

It will be the first time the British No 1 has ever faced the 23-year-old Slovenian in ATP action but he is not expected to have any difficulties with the world No 92.

Two men’s second round matches are scheduled for Centre Court, the second of which sees top seed and 2011 champion Novak Djokovic take on Radek Stepanek.

More from Wimbledon 2014

Although Stepanek has won just one of the pair’s 11 meetings the Czech veteran, who reached the last eight in 2006, certainly presents a stiffer test than many of the high seeds face at this stage in the tournament.

Before Djokovic takes to the court, 11th seed Grigor Dimitrov will take on Luke Saville in a battle of two former Wimbledon junior champions.

Dimitrov, who won at Queen’s in the build-up to the third grand slam of the year, played his opening match on Court One and returns to a show court for an intriguing clash with 20-year-old Australian.

Test for Berdych

Another former junior prodigy from Australia - Bernard Tomic - takes on 2010 finalist Tomas Berdych in the other men’s match to take place on Court One.

The next-highest men’s seed in action is seventh-ranked David Ferrer, who takes on Russia’s Andrey Kuznetsov on Court Two.

Two British women will be in action on Wednesday, with both Tara Moore and Naomi Broady scheduled to play on Court Two.

Moore is tied at 4-6 7-6 (7-3) in her first round clash with former world No 2 Vera Zvonareva and will look to complete a famous victory when the contest resumes on Wednesday.

Naomi Broady has reached the second round of Wimbledon for the first time in her career but will need to get past former world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki if she is to extend her run at the All England Club.

Elsewhere in the women’s second round, 2011 champion Petra Kvitova takes on Mona Barthel on Court One while 2012 runner-up Agnieszka Radwanska faces Casey Dellacqua in the first match on Centre Court.

Five-time champion Venus Williams goes up against Kurumi Nara on Court Three, which is also the venue for Victoria Azarenka’s clash with Bojana Jovanovski. Australian Open champion Li Na faces Yvonne Meusburger on Court Two.
