Player Profile

His place inside the O2 Arena may have been handed to him courtesy of an injury to Andy Roddick, however Sweden's Robin Soderling should not be underestimated.

The world number nine has earned the right to compete at the London showpiece following an inspired 2009 season which included a first ever Grand Slam final appearance.

A straight-sets defeat to Roger Federer at Roland Garros was no disgrace and the 25-year-old will come off that experience an even better player.

Soderling has been one of the most consistent performers on the ATP circuit this season, an eye-catching campaign capped off with title glory on home soil in Bastad.

A threat on all surfaces, Soderling has more than an outside chance of upsetting the odds in the English capital.
