Cilic - Australian Open semi-finalist.

Player Profile

The big-serving Croat announced himself to a wide audience with his run to the Australian Open semis back in January.

He beat Juan Martin Del Potro in Melbourne but went down in four sets to Andy Murray in the last four.

However, Cilic, the youngest player in the top 100 at the start of the year, has taken a few steps back in recent months, perhaps weighed down by the added expectation.

To be fair, it's no great surprise to see him struggle on the clay - he'll be welcoming the switch to the slick grass coming up soon.

Having said that, he did reach the final in Munich, beating clay specialist Nicolas Almagro in the process.

Still, he'll do well to better his previous best at Roland Garros - he made the fourth round here 12 months ago.
