Gonzalez - lost in semis last year.

Player Profile

Gonzalez is one of the game's great entertainers - a real shotmaker who rarely holds back.

His huge forehand can produce some spectacular winners - but equally it can also cost him dearly when it goes off.

The Chilean, a hero in his homeland having landed Olympic doubles gold in 2004 with Nicolas Massu, reached the semi-finals here 12 months ago but when looking on course for victory he crumbled in the final set against Robin Soderling.

This year preparations have been hit by a knee problem which has threatened his participation at Roland Garros.

With that in mind he can't be expected to go well.
