Wozniacki - popular with fans.

Player Profile

Now ranked third in the world, the popular Dane may just represent the future of the women's game.

Still a teenager, Wozniacki has already reached the US Open final (losing to Kim Clijsters last season) and now has only the Williams sisters - both of whom will soon be 30 - ahead of her in the rankings.

The daughter of a professional footballer from Poland, Wozniacki always plays with a smile on her face and should win many fans in London.

Wozniacki, a finalist in Indian Wells this year, will be looking to transfer her hardcourt form to the grass here.

Has shown she can play on the green stuff, winning at Eastbourne in 2009, but she has yet to go beyond the fourth round at the All England Club.

This could well be the year as form is good - it took eventual champion Francesca Schiavone to beat her at Roland Garros - although she remains an unlikely champion at this stage.
