(4) Jelena Jankovic
- DOB: 28/02/1985
- Nationality: SRB
- Became Pro: 2000
- Height: 1.77
Jankovic has slipped down the rankings over the past couple of years but after a good claycourt season she will arrive in SW19 in decent nick.
She looked a serious title contender at the French Open until running into an inspired Sam Stosur in the last four and duly won just three games.
As long as that hasn't dented confidence too much, Jankovic should arrive in fine fettle.
However, this isn't really her surface - and her comments show that. In 2008 it was the organisers getting a blast for having the temerity to put her on an outside court, while last year she showed little respect to the opponent who had just beaten her, Melanie Oudin.
Tamarine Tanasugarn upset the Serb the year before and Jankovic has yet to reach the quarter-finals here in six attempts.
A candidate for an early exit if she is not at her best.
