Venus - five-time champion in SW19.

Player Profile

Five times a champion in SW19, Venus will be feared by almost everyone in the ladies' draw.

You can throw in the fact she's been runner-up on three occasions and has now played in eight of the last 10 finals.

With sister Serena in the opposite half of the draw again, few would bet against her being on Centre Court on the second Saturday again.

She has actually enjoyed a better-than-average claycourt season, reaching the final in Madrid before losing in the last 16 of the French Open.

Venus has already won two titles this season - in Dubai and Acapulco - and also made the final in Miami.

Such form has taken her back to number two in the world rankings and she will rightly start as one of the favourites here.
