British title hopeful Jamie Murray advanced to the third round of the men's doubles at Wimbledon on Saturday.
Murray and partner Max Mirnyi recorded a 6-4 6-4 7-6 (7/0) victory over American James Cerretani and Romania's Victor Hanescu on Court One.
The 14th seeds will now face a tough clash with second seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic for a place in the quarter-finals.
Nestor and Zimonjic disposed of British pair Alex Bogdanovic and Jonathan Marray in straight sets in the first round and saw off American duo Rajeev Ram and Bobby Reynolds in round two.
Murray, who won the mixed doubles title at the All England Club last year, has become a feared doubles specialist on the ATP Tour.
He is also playing in the mixed, although this year he will be alongside Liezel Huber, not Jelena Jankovic.
In the ladies' doubles there was defeat in the second round for the British pairing of Anne Keothavong and Mel South.
They lost a tight match 6-4 4-6 7-5 to Akgul Amanmuradova and Darya Kustova.
And in the mixed doubles Jamie Delgado and Katie O'Brien were well beaten by the ninth seeds Andy Ram and Nathalie Dechy, going down 6-4 6-0.
