Definitely yes. Ive seen so many great finals but this was without a doubt the most entertaining not only because it happened to go all the way but also because of the sheer quality of tennis from both players. To produce shots of that kind of magnitude and brilliance under such pressure almost makes these two like supermen. There are the worlds top tennis players and then there are these two!

What a final...unbelievable and one of the best sundays i have had in ages!!! The TWO of them took tennis to another level..on THE one hand, you had Nadal, so so powerful, on the other, federer, technically, a genius!! what a great spectacle!! and having watched the majoirty of matches this year, one thing for sure, the rest of the players are a million miles behind these TWO...and that includes ANDY god save us MURRAY

It was a classic final, I doubt if it was the best ever, maybe Wimbledon's best. I think Federer lost this match psychologically, he is by far the best grass court player on circuit but we saw far too many unforced errors from him & in the early part of the match he played with very little strategy & guile. The French Open nightmare was still quite fresh in his mind, had this match been played in maybe 6 months from now, I think we would of seen a far more composed performance with him coming on top ala 2006 final. Nadal just seems to be wear down his opponents which works like a charm on clay but he looks far too ordinary on hardcourt & indoor therefore stating that Roger is still the King. I honestly feel that until he starts dominating all surfaces he will never even be in Roger's class. I predict that his body is not going to sustain all the workload he's exerting on it & maybe in about 3 years time he'll burn out like many before him!

That was simply the best tennis match ever played, and there will never ever be a better 1 than that. The quality of both players is just unbeleiveable. Was so intence in that 5th set!! Well done RAFA, deserved win, wont be the last one either.

FANTASTIC!!! This was indeed an epic and thrilling to the very last shot!! Well done Rafa!!! A great victory!! Well fought Roger too-shame he didn't make it 6 in a row but Rafa was just too strong and relentless!! It will be a very long time before we see high class tennis such as this again!!This match will be remembered and talked about for years to come!!

On a par with last year's final, but with more drama! In my top 5 men's Wimbledon finals I've seen. Other great ones are Borg '80, Connors '82, Ivanisevic '01, and Federer '07.

This year's final was quite literally OUT OF THIS WORLD. I consider myself to be quite a determined person but if ever there has been a more terrific display of perserverance and determination then looking at those two men today battle it out in that fashion exemplifies all that is great about tennis. The way Nadal grinds out his opponents reminds me of that french open final when he played Coria-I'd almost forgotten that he can be on a court for not only hours, but days on end and still come out lookin the same as when he first walked onto the court-its ridiculous!I've watched sooo many matches and a huge tennis fan, this final was the best match I've ever viewed words cannot describe the emotions that were involved today.Im so glad players like Nadal and Federer are playing in my lifetime and that children all over the game will get involved in this amazing game to be just like the greats!Emphatic victory by Nadal what an amazing character he NEVER GIVES UP, everyone should adopt his mentality anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

That was a brilliant match. Really wanted Federer to retain his crown but Nadal deserved to win. He just wouldn't give in... fantastic.

Absolute exhibition of excellence from both players. Rafa deserved to win that match. Most definitely the best tennis match that I've seen. Unfortunately, the only classics mentioned here, that I've seen are the goran vs agassi and the pete sampras' match. This one trumps 'em all just because of the sheer quality of tennis from both players. Every point looked like a make or break point for both players. The intensity and the pace of the match all throughout was amazing to say the least. I hope this rafa-federer rivalry gives us a few more classics to cherish.

Definitely the best final there's ever been. Last year was good but this year was just in another world. Well done Roger, you couldn't have put up a better fight, and no shame losing it to Nadal. Look out world, 5 grand slams and he's only 22!

I have seen so many finals but this was really the best ever played. The quality of tennis was taken to another level which was never seen before, the passing shots, the aces and most importantly the mental toughness was at its zenith. I am a huge huge fan of Roger Federer and seeing him lose coming so close was a heart breaking experience but then Rafael played simply amazing. I hope to see the same players play again next year and hopefully, hopefully it will be Roger who walks away with the crown...

The best match I have ever seen, and the best match my Dad has ever seen. Two of the best players tennis could ask for!! The respect they show for each other is remarkable and great to see. For Nadal to say Federer is still the best and the best of all time is so respectful after just beating him in the final and winning the french and now wimbledon one after another. They were fighting for every single point out on the court! It was so entertaining. Nadal is a worthy winner with out a doubt but I still think Federer will win another one or two in his time, and it could be the first of many for Nadal.

Barry Davis says...

Certainly one of the greatest matches of all time. I have never witnessed a match with so many winning passing shots from acute angles. A match of outrageous quality and skill. Thumbs up to both players for such a spectacle... one that will live in my memory for years to come.

Great Final - the best I can remember in a long time. However, this final is different because we really had on show the two very very best in the business playing for a title. Forget Sampras-Aggasi era - as Sampras could always ace his way out of trouble. Against these two - it was different - they are both the complete players who are evenly matched - and I think it was obvious that Rafa was not going to give in this time round - it really was a case of who blinks first. Today was just great!!!!

What a final! No one deserved to lose! Best that I have ever seen and I remember the Bjorn Borg and Mcenroe days. In the end I think Nadal deserved it, but I had to feel sorry for Federer as he chased it to the end and never gave up! Can you tell I have had had a few glasses of wine to calm my nerves!! Fantastic! What an end to a wonderful tournament. Thank you!

Divyadarshini Patel says...

It was definitely the best ever final ever played on centre court. Initially it seemed that the match was becoming one sided but then we saw the long lost fire in Federer's shots coming back to life since his French open defeat against Nadal. What a display of power and game strategies!! A most wonderful match, with both the on-court legends at their very best and Nadal snatching away the title at last for which he had been battling since the last two years! This might mean that Federer has to fear for his no.1 position now!!

So good to see sport and sportsmen still exist. What a wonderful game, truly enjoyable for everyone without any unpleasant incidents. There is still such a lot of hope with the Young, will they show us the way.
