Charlton defender Michael Morrison is set to end speculation over his future by signing a new deal at the Valley, Sky Sports understands.
Morrison's previous deal was due to expire at the end of this month and a number of clubs were waiting in the wings to sign him on a free transfer.
However, Charlton were desperate secure their star defender on a new contract and it seems a deal is close to being finalised.
Morrison, 26, has established himself as a key player at the Valley, having made over 140 appearances for the club since arriving from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2011.
News of Morrison's new deal will come as a massive boost to new head coach Bob Peeters as he looks improve on a disappointing campaign for Charlton last season.
