Craig Cathcart has signed a new contract at Watford to keep him at the club until 2021.
The 28-year-old, who began his career at Manchester United, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal - having joined the Hornets from Blackpool in 2014.
The Northern Ireland international has made 84 appearances for the club since then, but was limited to just 15 Premier League games last season as he battled a hernia injury.
Watford have replaced Walter Mazzarri with former Hull boss Marco Silva during the summer, and the new manager has opted to tie down Cathcart's long-term future.
England Under-21 midfielder Will Hughes has already signed for Watford from Derby on a five-year contract, as Silva looks to prepare his side for their opening game of the Premier League season at home to Liverpool on August 12.
