Loan star Chris Beardsley hopes his first goal for Bristol Rovers will help him secure a permanent move to the club.
The 30-year-old is currently on loan at Rovers from Preston and he scored his first goal for the League Two club in their 2-1 win over Plymouth at the weekend.
Beardsley is out of contract at Preston at the end of the season and he admits he would be happy to make his stay at Rovers permanent.
"I was out in the cold at Preston and that was difficult to take," Beardsley told The Sun.
"With Rovers, I am enjoying my football for the first time in 18 months. I'd love to stay."
