Hull City have completed the signing of defender Eric Lichaj from Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee.

The USA international defender, 29, has penned an initial two-year deal with the Tigers, with an option for an extra year.

"I'm excited about playing here and I'm looking forward to getting started with pre-season next week," said Lichaj.

"It's a fresh start for me and I want to repay Hull City for the faith that they have shown in me by bringing me here. I'll be working my hardest, as I always do, every day in training and on matchdays."

Lichaj made almost 200 appearances for Nottingham Forest after signing for the club from Aston Villa in 2013. Last season, he scored twice for Forest in a 4-2 FA Cup victory over Arsenal.
