Ramadan Sobhi will join Huddersfield from Stoke after the World Cup, the Premier League club have announced.

The Egypt international will join the Terriers at the end of the upcoming tournament in Russia on a three-year contract, with an option for a further year.

"I'm very happy that we will be able to welcome Ramadan Sobhi to Huddersfield Town," said David Wagner, in a statement released on the club's official website.

"He's a real talent and has achieved a lot for a player who is only 21 years old, playing over 20 times for his country ahead of this summer's World Cup.

"Just as Jonas Lössl, Elias Kachunga and Laurent Depoitre did, Ramadan will join our club on the back of a challenging season.

"However, he already has a lot of the qualities that we look for in our 'Terriers Identity'; he's skilful, direct and very quick-thinking. He still has a lot of space to improve too, which is very exciting.

The winger made 41 Premier League appearances for Stoke since joining the Potters from Cairo club Al Ahly in 2016.

However, he could not prevent the club from being relegated to the Championship in the 2017-18 campaign.

Sobhi has been included in Egypt's squad for the World Cup, where they will face Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and hosts Russia in Group A.
