New Zealand international midfielder Cameron Howieson has joined St Mirren on a one-year deal.
The 20-year-old, who has nine caps, had been with Burnley since 2012 but made only a couple of first-team appearances and spent time on loan with Doncaster Rovers last season.
He has represented his country at all age levels from U17 and made his senior debut in 2012 against El Salvador and was also part of their U23 squad at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Howieson could make his Buddies debut on Saturday when they take on Berwick Rangers in the Petrofac Training Cup.
