Middlesbrough winger Harry Chapman has joined Sky Bet League 1 side Barnsley on loan until the end of the season.
The highly-rated 18-year-old has featured regularly for Boro's U21s side this season and also played a part in the U19s UEFA Youth League run that ended with defeat to Paris Saint-Germain this week.
Chapman, who was named U21 Player of the Month for November and has featured for England U18s, is yet to feature in Middlesbrough's first team and will now be given the opportunity to secure some first team experience at Oakwell.
"I'm delighted to have Harry join us," Barnsley caretaker head coach Paul Heckingbottom told the club's official website.
"He is an exceptional talent and is very highly thought of at Middlesbrough. We're very grateful to them for allowing him to join us.
"I'm sure he can prove valuable for us as we head into the final run-in, and hopefully we will prove valuable to him in his development as a promising young footballer."
Barnsley are 10th in League 1 heading into the weekend's fixtures.
