Bradford have signed goalkeeper Colin Doyle from Blackpool on a two-year deal.

Irishman Doyle, 31, is Bradford manager Stuart McCall's third summer signing after the Sky Bet League One club triggered a reported £1 release clause in his contract with relegated Blackpool.

"The Bantams have moved to strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of the new season by completing the signing of experienced shot-stopper Colin Doyle," Bradford said on their website.

Doyle, 6ft 5in, kept 11 clean sheets in 35 appearances for Blackpool last season and gained Premier League and Europa League experience during a 12-year stay at Birmingham, where he signed his first professional deal in 2003.

He has also had loan spells at Chester, Nottingham Forest, Millwall and Coventry.
