Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signings of Watford duo Almen Abdi and Daniel Pudil.

The pair will strengthen a Wednesday side who were beaten in the Championship play-off final by Hull last term and will be looking to make it to the top flight this season.

The Owls play their final pre-season game against Port Vale this Sunday, before kicking off their Championship campaign against Aston Villa the following weekend.

Defender Pudil is a familiar figure to Owls fans, having spent last season on loan at Wednesday, making 42 appearances.

The 30-year-old scored twice during that campaign and then went on to represent the Czech Republic at Euro 2016.
