Wolves have signed Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on a season-long loan deal.

The Championship club have also secured Dutch winger Ola John, on loan for the season from Portuguese giants Benfica.

Borthwick-Jackson, 19, played 14 first-team games for United last season under former boss Louis van Gaal.

He primarily played at left-back as he covered for the injured Luke Shaw, but he can also play as a centre-back.

With Shaw fit again and Eric Bailly already a bit hit in the heart of the United defence, boss Jose Mourinho has allowed him to get further first team experience under Wolves boss Walter Zenga.

Ola John gave Reading a late winner against Bolton.

Borthwick-Jackson could make his debut in the Tuesday's EFL Cup match against Cambridge United at Molineux. Wolves have started the new season strongly, with two wins and two draws.
