Stoke City sign teenage defender Harry Souttar from Dundee United

Stoke City have confirmed the signing of teenage central defender Harry Souttar from Dundee United.

The Potters have paid an undisclosed fee for the 17-year-old, who made four first team appearances for the Scottish Championship side.

Souttar made his debut in the 3-3 draw with Partick Thistle in May 2016 and scored his only United goal in a 4-2 victory at Kilmarnock in the final game of the 2015/16 season.

Souttar's older brother John is a Scotland U21 international and also came through the professional ranks at United before moving to Hearts in February 2016.
