Andreas Pereira says Jose Mourinho is in regular contact with him and insists he is ready if Manchester United need him.
Pereira, 20, scored his first goal on loan at La Liga side Granada in a 2-1 win over Sevilla on Saturday and has been a regular for the Spanish club this season, making 13 league appearances.
Louis van Gaal handed Pereira 11 appearances for United in the 2015-16 season before being replaced by Mourinho in the summer, but despite being allowed out on loan, Pereira revealed United's current manager is still keeping tabs on him.
"We [Pereira and Mourinho] are always in contact and we talk after my games," Pereira told Goal. "If Manchester United needs me, I am always ready.
"The experience here in Spain has been very good, even though the club has struggled a bit. But I think we have been improving game by game and the last two games it showed that we are on the right track.
"I came here to play games, get a good experience playing in a top league and then to go back [to United] and to fight for a spot in the squad."
