Bolton have signed former Manchester City defender Reece Wabara on a short-term deal until the end of the season, the Sky Bet League One club have announced.
The 25-year-old had been a free agent since leaving Bolton's neighbours Wigan at the end of last season.
Wabara, a former England youth international, came through the junior ranks at City but made just one first-team appearance, as a late substitute in a game against the Trotters in 2011.
He spent time out on loan at Ipswich, Oldham, Blackpool and Doncaster before making a permanent move to the Keepmoat Stadium in 2014. He joined Barnsley the following year and Wigan last January, helping them to promotion to the Championship.
Wabara tweeted: "Delighted to sign for @OfficialBWFC Can't wait to give my all for the club and the fans and aid in the promotion push!"
Wabara made headlines in 2013 when he scored for Oldham in a stunning FA Cup fourth-round defeat of Liverpool.
