Bolton Wanderers have signed former QPR and Wolves midfielder Karl Henry until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old, who has been a free agent since his release by QPR last summer, has made 535 career appearances, having come through the ranks at Stoke City.
Henry spent seven years with Stoke before joining his hometown club Wolves in 2006, where he made 272 appearances and helped them gain promotion to the Premier League.
Following a spell training with West Bromwich Albion, Henry has agreed to join Bolton, who sit bottom of the Championship with seven losses and two draws from their opening nine games.
Bolton chairman Ken Anderson described Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Brentford as the worst performance since he has been at the club but has given his backing to manager Phil Parkinson.
Anderson said: "It is even more important that we all stick together and continue to support the manager and team through thick and thin and ensure that we do our utmost to climb the league over the next few months and retain our Championship status.
"The more support that we are able to give them at this difficult time, the better the chance we have of getting the results we need going forward."
