Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has dismissed claims that Mathieu Debuchy could be looking to leave the club this summer.
Debuchy was quoted in the French media this week, about whether he would stay long-term on Tyneside.
Newcastle though are confident that Debuchy, who was asked about joining Yohan Cabaye at Paris Saint Germain, was misquoted.
"I don't think the quotes are accurate, something can get lost in translation," Pardew insisted.
"I have spoken to him, he is very happy at the club, he signed for four years and he is an important player who has done well and improved as he has gone along.
"I have no worries about those comments. You do never know in football. We are looking to change and strengthen in a lot of positions next year but that won't be one of them."
