Portsmouth have signed midfielder Danny Hollands on loan from Charlton Athletic until the end of the season.
Andy Awford, who has taken temporary charge at Fratton Park following the departure of Richie Barker as boss, has moved quickly to bolster his squad at Fratton Park.
Hollands, 28, will flll the void left by Toumani Diagouraga after he was recalled from his loan spell by Brentford and could make his debut at Newport on Saturday.
Awford told the club's official website: "With Toumani going back to Brentford we needed an extra body in midfield.
"Danny gives us another good option in that area and we're grateful to Charlton for letting us borrow him."
Hollands joined Charlton on a free transfer from Bournemouth in July 2011 but has made only one appearance for the Addicks this season.
That appearance came in the Capital One Cup win over Oxford United back in August and he was then loaned out to Gillingham for the first half of the season following another loan spell with Swindon Town last term.
