Pepe Mel has hinted that he could make a move for Arsenal striker Joel Campbell if he remains in charge of West Bromwich Albion.
Costa Rica international Campbell is currently on loan at Olympiakos and scored against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League earlier this season.
He also spent time at Real Betis last season, working under Mel, and it remains to be seen if he will be a part of Arsenal's plans for next season.
Mel is not yet certain that he will be kept on as West Brom boss but he is already thinking of the future and has admitted that an approach for Campbell may be considered.
"Joel Campbell was a player with me at Betis, a very good player and it is possible for the future at West Brom ," said Mel, quoted in the Birmingham Mail ahead of West Brom's trip to Arsenal on Sunday.
"He would be a good player for West Brom.
"He could play for Albion if I stay here."
