Bradford boss Phil Parkinson has prioritised a replacement for injured winger Filipe Morais and more defenders as he continues his search to strengthen his squad.

Portuguese Morais could miss the whole of next season after rupturing knee ligaments last week during training, while Parkinson is keen to draft in defensive cover following Andrew Davies' recent departure to Ross County.

"We need several players still," Parkinson told the club's official website.

"Defensively, we want to add cover there but there are also other areas of the pitch we are looking to strengthen.

"We really feel for Filipe after his injury but we can't let that affect us as a squad.

"We wish Fil all the very best and we will give him the best rehab we can once he has had his operation, but we have to be happy with that right-hand side as well in his absence.

"There are players we can go out and get.

"We will certainly be busy at work before the (transfer) window closes."
