Norwich City manager Alex Neil has questioned whether outside influences are causing players to breach club discipline during transfer windows.
The Canaries boss has been forced to suspend striker Lewis Grabban after he left the team hotel without permission ahead of their midweek Capital One Cup win over Rotherham.
Neil branded Grabban, who has been the subject of two rejected bids from Bournemouth, a 'silly boy' for his antics and insisted no player will ever have more power than he allows at Norwich.
Ahead of their Super Sunday clash with Southampton, the Scotsman said: "Anything that happens at Norwich is not within anybody's power apart from me and the owners of the club, and that's the bottom line.
"We have total control and we will dictate what happens between now and the end of the window. There will not be any player or collection of players that have any more power that what I let them have.
"I think this is the way the game's going now, with agents involved so heavily and different people trying to put pressure on players and pressure on clubs – sometimes people get sucked in by that.
"Lewis has been a silly boy. If any player leaves without permission then there'll be consequences coming their way – the same goes for every player. He has accepted it, he's got no option."
Grabban is suspended until next Tuesday – transfer deadline day – and Neil has previously stated the player will only be sold if the club's valuation of him is met.
