AC Milan have approached QPR about a potential loan deal for Sandro.
Sandro, who joined QPR from Tottenham for £6m a year ago, missed the final three matches of last season because of work permit issues.
The 26-year-old has been troubled by knee problems and made just 17 appearances for QPR last season and has yet to feature for Rangers in their seven matches this season.
Meanwhile, it is also understood that talks are continuing over a deal to bring Watford defender Gabriele Angella to Loftus Road.
The Italian has made 75 appearances for Watford since arriving at Vicarage Road two years ago.
