West Brom have taken former West Ham forward Ricardo Vaz Te on trial.

The 28 year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Turkish Super Lig side Akhisar Belediyespor at the end of last season.

Vaz Te, who began his career at Bolton Wanderers, had his contract terminated by West Ham in early 2015.

He scored 15 times in 51 league appearances for the Hammers, grabbing an 87th-minute winner against Blackpool in the 2012 Championship play-off final.

The former Bolton forward has struggled with injuries throughout his career, including two separate shoulder dislocations during his time at Upton Park.

Bury manager David Flitcroft revealed in August that Vaz Te was training with his squad in order to improve his match fitness.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis could be looking to strengthen his attacking options after seeing his side score just three times in their opening five matches.
