Not least because after a difficult first year in the United States, Lampard and Gerrard - 38 and 36 respectively - both come into the game in fine form.

Gerrard tops Galaxy's assist charts with 11, while Lampard is impressing too having scored nine goals in his past 10 games - including a hat-trick last time out at Yankee Stadium.
